I am installing my ham rig on Oryoki and originally thought I would run
foil outside the hull and connect to the tuner through a sealed slot in
the hull. Now I am wondering if I could just line the foil on the inside
of the hull below the water line and use that.
My question: Does any one have experience with using such a system in a
cored/PVC composite hull? I know it works with solid fiberglass, but am
unsure if the added thickness and dielectric properties of the foam core
might pose a problem.

thanks
Philip
