Lee: Neither your Verizon cell nor your aircard will work in the Bahamas. Ours didn't.
Most folks buy disposable cell phones over there. They aren't cheap, but they seem to work. Most pay phones we tried were out of order. There is some wifi service in the populated areas, but it's spotty at best and expensive. Good luck!
