I've definitely thought about that but the only (and most important) thing which mitigates against it is it would take me about 3 days to get down there and then another 3 to get back. Conceivably I could do it on a 3-4 day weekend prior to the show and then another long weekend after the show but we take (or at least I do) enough time during the summer (usually a two week cruise) so......
On the other hand, since I work for myself I would probably get permission from my office (me, myself, and I) but then guilt comes into play...... Conversely it's only a 3-1/2 to 4 hr drive...... Sail to Chesapeake for the event and take it as part of a vacation... notice required though. Sue and I are currently planning to end our 18 months tour of the Caribbean and return to the ICW and New England for the hurricane season, hopefully by way of the FL keys (which are 1200 miles NW of us now in the French West Indies at St Martin. QUESTION TO THE GROUP: What mods do I need to make to make our watermaker bullet proof for use in the waters of or near the ICW??? Seems to me a couple prefilters and pump would protect it, but anyone have any info handy on what we need? Thanks.
