Most of the things you mention are already planned as feature requests.

This requires collaboration from the other projects, and was the idea
behind videojack. Maybe something like this will emerge after the next
piksel meeting in November.

Fluxus can produce jpeg/png output I think, so it would also be possible
to run it as a batch generator plugin. This method wouldn't be realtime
though.

Yes, that would be good ! It's possible of course using puredata, somebody
just needs to write a patch for it. I will probably do it soon for an
upcoming VJ performance.

That's really a combination of two feature requests:

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2800749&group_id=64341&atid=507142

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=1990476&group_id=64341&atid=507142

but note that yuv4mpeg does not support audio.

You can, however already stream LiVES video via icecast:

Most probably you did not compile with mjpegtools support. LiVES needs
this to read from the yuv4mpeg streams.

Keep the suggestions coming though !

Regards,
Gabriel.
