I think Lives has potential as a mainstream vjing app--I know, there's
little "mainstream" about linux or vjing--but I hate how long it takes to
process a new clip.

I'm used to Windows DJ apps that can alsro play/out music videos.  In those,
you can drop a video onto one of your decks, and start playing it
immediately.  Don't get me wrong, those apps are processing/analyzing the
videos, too... but that tends to happen in the background.

Could something like this be implemented in Lives?  As is, doing quick
mixes--especially in environments where people might be requesting
music/videos--isn't possible the Lives is current set up.
