Hi all,
I mentioned in the last LiVES release notice that I would have some
interesting news for LiVES. Well here is that news. I have just started a
two year masters course in Applied IT, and the subject of my research will
be Digital Signal Processing in LiVES ! Its early in the course, so I am
still working on the exact details but I hope to be able to reveal my
project plans soon.

I believe that linking LiVES with academia will help to push the project
to the next level and will demonstrate that it is an application with
serious as well as purely amateur uses.

In other news, unfortunately there were no entries for the LiVES video
tutorial, so the prize money and LiVES goodies go unclaimed. I will
probably re-run the comptetion at a later time, and combine the three
prizes into one big prize - hopefully this will inspire people to go ahead
and create something.

Finally, I am pleased to announce that the Japanese translation of LiVES
has been brought completely up to date. The full translation will be
included in the next development release. Many thanks to the Japanese
translation team for their hard work !

Regards,
Gabriel.
