But do you need that index? If you have a StringRef for the "unparsed portion 
of the buffer", you can do a `m_buffer = remainder.str()` at the end.

That said, the biggest source of confusion for me was that one iteration of 
this loop does not correspond with parsing one message. I'd linearize that even 
if it causes some duplication.
