First, in fear of beating up this issue, im hesitant to ask but is there a
chance the old AFP functionality will be restored for 1.0.0?

Secondly, the knobs behavior (where you scrolling past the stopping point
requires scrolling back equal distance) seems to affect all new knobs.
Should I just file a bug?
