Because it would be jumping the gun, so to speak. From a visibility
perspective, it represents thinking before speaking (or in this case,
typing).
Now rather than directing people to our home page, we are directing them to
a sourceforge files page. Its fine, but with the amount of preparation in
rebranding efforts as well as other improvements, it would be nice to wait
a day and send the homepage link out in a more orchestrated way.
It is for these reasons I was hoping to contribute the logo change to the
home page in advance so that these updates could be coordinated.
Not really a big deal, just the largest announcement we've had in a while,
hence the hope for syncopation. :)
