No, this would be pretty useless for that actually. For swing we want an actual timing variation on the raw note events themselves. This is just adding delay to the audiostreams, and even if you variate that delay, it's not going to get you a swing effect - try it yourself with any of the delay-line LADSPA plugins, see what happens when you variate the time value of a line delay while notes are playing. It's probably not a desirable effect for any situation... What this would be useful for is correcting the latency differences caused by certain plugins. Some plugins cause extra latency, for an example, try out the TAP Vibrato or TAP Rotary speaker. Those are pretty much unusable in LMMS right now (unless you also want the delay in them). Similarly, some VST instruments have latencies. Of course general timing adjustments could also be an use case, like compensating for attack times like you mentioned. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start Your Social Network Today - Download eXo Platform Build your Enterprise Intranet with eXo Platform Software Java Based Open Source Intranet - Social, Extensible, Cloud Ready Get Started Now And Turn Your Intranet Into A Collaboration Platform http://p.sf.net/sfu/ExoPlatform _______________________________________________ LMMS-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/lmms-devel
