If it's bundled aren't we supposed to be using it?
If the maintainer wants a different version in the code we should submit a
bug report and fix it upstream, right? Their "preference" doesn't make
sense in this case because the system lib isn't being used.
If they want to provide diffs against new packages and they have compelling
reasons to do so they should send them to us, not hide them away in a
Gentoo package that our devs would never see, right?
