30 bucks/month - bunch of money? yes, it wont fix, but this can push forward collaborative work and get on it in a more serious way, well yeah, sorry i'm economist(->statictics->social-statistics) too... and as developer and musician i know exactly that money can help to get some food or pay internet bill, simple electricity issue for developers only i guess.
i didn't like ardour because they've asked 1 dollar each time - it's alright if you have more than you need. where to spend it? - openUP festival, create radio station, to get on the label seriously you'll need to pay lawyer, get PR managers @work - that's what needs a real bunch of money, 1k can be spent just to support sf, github, tuxfamily or other donations, maybe support some poeple who works on c++/qt or those who can work on new synths, recover old ones - etc On 22.05.2014 15:07, Tres Finocchiaro wrote: > > Arguably, iTunes is the best landscape for selling music. > > If you really want to start a record label, great, but combining good > business decisions and a free product/open community need to be > balanced carefully.
