Good question. I can't estimate the impact of your changes so I personally vote for stabilizing and releasing 1.1 as fast as possible (even though at least I don't have much time ATM) so it doesn't get delayed unneccessary. If you're sure that the number of regressions is going to be minimal and can be handled easily, I can fully understand that you want to see your improvements in the upcoming release and we should make an exception then.
