Tobias, I finally got around to doing some profiling myself. Somewhat bafflingly, I'm getting different results. Instead of using unfa-spoken as the test, I used a simple small project that consisted of: triple oscillator, afp, zyn and some effects. The results were that the graph was different on the memmgr and master branches, but the average CPU usage looked about the same on both... No idea what's going on here. Maybe others could try to do some tests as well and report their results?
