Nice ideas. One I thought about recently was in relation to Paul Giblock's 'Unison' project. If LMMS is going to be based on that, how about 'Harmony'? It's got the right musical connotations, it gets away from the awkward acronym, and according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmony_%28disambiguation%29 there's no music software yet named it.
