Hi Leo, You can find the Globalization Portal at https://g11nportal.sun.com. But in order to download the translation editor you have to sign up. How you can do that is explained on: http://l10n.openoffice.org/localization/L10n_pilotprocess.html at section 3.2.2.
Once you're there you know just as much as me about it. :-) Since OmegaT doesn't seem the right tool for us, I would like to try STE. If that works nicely I will prepare a document on how get it and how to work with it.
