Paul, I'm sorry that this has caused you some inconvenience, as we do try to provide the best site and service to the Ubuntu community that we can. And while we all wish that it was possible to fulfill every need or desire, we are all still human, and we must sleep sometime.

It's a credit to Ubuntu's 6 month cycle that we have become accustomed to fast results. However, we have many bugs that are even older than that. As a general rule, we try to tackle those bugs and requests that will provide the greatest service to the most people, at the smallest effort. > Why is it the case that whishlist bugs that get filed after this bug > have a higher priority then that bug? If so, why? Some wishlist bugs have only a single person requesting them. Others have multiple people and teams requesting them. Some have well thought out reasons why they should be implemented, others are just things someone thought up one minute and filed a bug for, that often don't make sense we it comes to actually implementing. Again, we try to do what will provide the most benefit with the limited amount of volunteer time that we have. > I'm concerned because if this is the way that someone on the > loco-council gets treated when interacting with folks in > loco-directory, then I must ask how members of locos get treated. You can rest assure that we don't treat members of the loco-council any differently that other members of the community, nobody gets special treatment based on membership to a specific Launchpad team. If your request makes sense, can be reasonably implemented, and will benefit the wider community, then it'll be higher on our list, regardless of who you are. > failure to address bugs in a sane timeframe is bugging me quite a bit. Every time we talk to the community about LoCo Directory development, we include the fact that we are always looking for more contributors, and you are included in that invitation. But unless you can provide us with a working implementation, or add a 25th hour to our days, we ask that you be patient as we do what we can for the community, and always remember that we are volunteers. > Can *someone* spare a few minutes to fix this bug? If your specific request would only take a few minutes, rest assured it would have been implemented by now. However I recall having previous conversations about this request, and I have not seen any compelling reason why it is needed. Indeed, I believed that implementing the Meetings feature had provided for both your specific need, as well as a more general sure that would benefit the wider community. If for some reason neither Events nor Meetings fills your need, then please feel free to go into more detail about how they fall short, and how you think a solution can be made.
