If you think it is time to make a new release, let's jsut discuss
it.
Hi Christian,
shouldn't we first update the website? It's currently stuck because
you are the only one able to commit new content or change the
configuration for svnpubsub.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-7209
Ups. I missed that issue. This however is related to some unexpected
personal
issues i currently face.
I think we should follow Jakes suggestion.
Could you crate:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/log4cxx/site/publish/index.html
with a coming soon page or actually the first version of the website,
your choice)
Once this is done I am going to make the webreq and update the main
landing page of logging
with the new location.
Works for you?
Usually this is made on a private list. Currently we have none for
log4cxx, I am thinking about how we can solve that.
Personally I don't feel the need to discuss things privately. Why are
new committers something which is not relevant on the dev list?
Basically you are right, all things are usually discussed on the dev
list.
however when it comes to discuss new members, some people are afraid to
hurt feelings.
Other may not speak up in public when they are not +1 to a potential new
member.
Basically it something you should discuss with the other log4cxx
members. Just because
at logging in general we do it in private (like most projects i know) it
doesn't mean
you need to do it the same.
Cheers
Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
