Hi jacob, Thanks very much for your quick reply with project ideas. I will work on understanding those two ideas and send the proposal for one of them. I think before that i will have to go through the code and the documentation, to make a clear idea of the projects.

Log4j-1.3 seems to be somewhat of a dead-end and if the Log4j project is to move forward past maintenance releases of Log4j-1.2.xx, the 2.0 plan needs to get laid out and started. Once it is there, I think the developer support will come with it. 2. Enhance Chainsaw. There have been a number of recent threads discussing possible changes to Chainsaw to make it more usable and add new functionality. It's a great little app right now, though it could use some polishing. Adding tailing capabilities to the VFS log receiver would be excellent!
