You might want to try looking in the contrib directory in the distro. Its
not specifically mentioned in the documentation (at least not that I could
see), and it could do with a better index, but it might contain an example
for you (I think its under the root on the installation, or perhaps under
the doc directory).

On a related note, is it worth including some example code for those classes
people reguarly have problems with? Some of the contrib stuff I've looked at
is useful , but some of it doesn't even work or doesn't contain enough
documentation. I realise the contrib stuff isn't really included as example
code, but based on questions asked over the last few weeks, I guess we could
do with some good examples on the NT event log appender, socket appender,
syslog appender and the JMS appender + perhaps others.

Any thoughts?
