The last sentence is a true statement. also catA.warn() would also send
output to the log.

In as much as you can specify the priority level of a category from a
proprties file, then yes. If you set the priortiy of a category catA to
only
log WARN level stuff, catA.debug() would still work, you just wouldn't get
any output.
