Peter, Thanks for the feedback about HttpWatchdog. The Watchdog framework has undergone some design changes since those postings. Version 1.3 will be including a generic logger repository "plugin" framework, one instance of which will be the Watchdogs. This is such a large change, that it will happen in v1.3, not any v1.2.x version.
I am still trying to finish up some work on the plugin framework and a new receiver framework (another type of plugin), and after that I am going to get back on track with the watchdogs. The basic set/idea behind the previous postings is still valid, but the implementations will be changing to fit the plugin framework. I would appreciate a review by interested log4j developers at some point, and I will post a message once there is something more substantial to look at in the cvs repository. Probably won't be until at least the end of the year. -Mark > -----Original Message----- > From: FLYNN, Peter -Syntegra UK [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Monday, November 25, 2002 6:57 AM > To: 'Log4J Users List' > Subject: HTTPWatchdog > > > Hi, > > I was looking through the plans and noticed that the watchdog > system had > been rewritten by Mark Womack, and included an HTTPWatchdog > as part of that > change.
