Hi Buddhika, I am forwarding this conversation to log4php dev list so others can participate, hope you don't mind.
Of course, you are welcome to work on log4php. However, currently we do not have a road map for the next release so I can't point you to an exact task. Have a look at our vounteering page for some ideas of what you may do: http://people.apache.org/~ihabunek/apache-log4php-2.2.0-RC1/site/volunteering.html (that's a link to the staged site for the new version, which we'll put in production after the vote for 2.2.0 passes) There's a list of tools we use for development (running, testing, building) on our wiki: http://wiki.apache.org/logging-log4php/EnablingEnviroment Also there's a detailed guide for setting up a linux environment: http://wiki.apache.org/logging-log4php/SettingUpALinuxEnvironment Basically, for start, have a look around the source and try to identify something you would like to work on. We probably won't be doing much before the 2.2.0 release. Tired. :) If you have any questions, ask.
