Florian Platzer commented on LOG4PHP-188:
-----------------------------------------
Hi Michal, Ivan,
thanks for your patches.
Michals patch works but as Ivan mentioned, it's not the perfect solution.
For Ivans solution I had to modify the line 54 in LoggerRoot.php (else
following error will occur: Declaration of LoggerRoot::setLevel() should be
compatible with that of Logger::setLevel())
>From
public function setLevel($level) {
to
public function setLevel(LoggerLevel $level = null) {
> rootLogger logs although level isn't reached

> I downloaded the current version of log4php and used an existing
> configuration:
> rootLogger (level = FATAL, appender = echo)
> customLog (level = DEBUG, appender = dailyfile)
> When i log to customLog with DEBUG level, i also get the message printed on
> screen:
> Logger::getLogger('customLog')->debug('test');
> When I change rootLogger's appender to dailyfile, the message is logged twice
> in the log file.
