Ivan Habunek commented on LOG4PHP-188:
--------------------------------------

Hm, what revision are you on, Florian? These two methods should have the same
signature.

Have a look yourself:
https://github.com/apache/log4php/blob/trunk/src/main/php/Logger.php#L408
https://github.com/apache/log4php/blob/trunk/src/main/php/LoggerRoot.php#L56

Using Github mirror, because it's easier to link to a specific line, it's the
same in SVN trunk.

> I downloaded the current version of log4php and used an existing
> configuration:
> rootLogger (level = FATAL, appender = echo)
> customLog (level = DEBUG, appender = dailyfile)
> When i log to customLog with DEBUG level, i also get the message printed on
> screen:
> Logger::getLogger('customLog')->debug('test');
> When I change rootLogger's appender to dailyfile, the message is logged twice
> in the log file.
