[log4plsql] Background process

Hello,   I'm just about to start evaluating log4plsql. The DBAs are refusing to install it unless I tell them what the background process does and why it has to be left running.   The script runs the following   . ./setVariable.sh cd $LOG4PLSQL_HOME echo start listener java log4plsql.backgroundProcess.Run ./properties/log4plsql.xml     Does anyone either know what this does, or know where the relevant documentation is.   Thanks!
