Hi! I found following code in plog.log, LOG4PLSQL_VERSION = '3.1.3.0' (similar in older versions)): ... hdr := TO_CHAR(pLDATE, 'HH24:MI:SS')||':'||LTRIM(TO_CHAR(MOD(pLHSECS,100),'09'))||'-'||getLevelInText(pLLEVEL)||'-'||pLSECTION||' '; ... sys.DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT(hdr); ... If pLSECTION is very big (several calls through packages) then following error happens: ORU-10028: line length overflow, limit of 255 chars per line.
First recommendation: Filter out in plog.callurname duplicate items, eg. call stack in the same package, to shorten pLSECTION. Second recommendation: Substring the second line above before output it to a length lower than 255 and think about exactly the wrapping which follows in plog.log.
