Hi, When doing online proctoring, there is a lot of data flying back and forth: you have the life-webcam and the screen-capture. Compared to that, the LON-CAPA traffic is minimal.
If students are running these exams from bad connections, there will be problems. Some provides really stink, or they throttle the bandwidth after a certain amount of data transfer. To survive this, you will need to make it the students’ responsibility to find a site with a stable, fast, and decent internet connection. Otherwise, since it is sometimes not in the students’ best interest to make this work flawlessly (after all, who really wants to take a math exam?), you will get all kinds of problems: real, imaginary, or blown out of proportion. - Gerd. > On Jun 29, 2015, at 11:16 PM, Huckleberry, David W <dhuck...@purdue.edu> > wrote: > > To say our first round of exams was a success, would be a big stretch.
