The two main Epsom Derby routes were the 406E & 406F. Looking through my collection of LT bus maps, these first appear in the route list on the 1961 Country Area map (dated November 1960). At this time it appears there were the 406 (Kingston-Redhill), 406A (Kingston-Tadworth Station), 406C (Kingswood-Earlswood) and the two routes above. As Michael says, there never appeared to be a 406B or 406D.
