get a nice USR or Pace external modem .. anything that claims to need
some special 'modem driver' is obviously braindead.

ooh yes please ... I have an old AX25 tnc in the loft, I might even have a
set of TCPiP firmware for it somewhere ... don;t fancy the CB thing
