Well 80% of any guidelines would probably just be general good
Perl programming practise which experience and a smattering of
high quality books would give you (Prog Perl, Perl Cookbook to start
and for dessert O-O Perl, Adv Perl and some others).
The Mod_perl guide would probably be more specifically informative,
and I think ORA have another Perl/CGI book out which I haven't
seen so can't vouch for.
I also like "Philip & Alex's guide to web publishing". Some people
poo-poo its specifics, but as an overview and enjoyable read I
recommend it (actually, dunno whether this is that relevant, but
damnit I like it).
