Whenever I restart my computer, a dialogue box appears saying "Legal Notice":
You are accessing a controlled system that contains commercially sensitive and confidential information. Access to this system is granted for the sole purpose of conducting work related to [company]. Use of these systems for any other purpose is strictly prohibited and may be result in disciplinary actions. Internet access is additionally granted and may be monitored without prior consent. Access to Internet sites that may be deemed inappropriate in the work place is strictly forbidden. Do you Agree to these terms [Yes] [No] I don't agree, so I click "No". Then another box appears: "You Are Required to Agree to The Legal Notice" [Yes] [No] Since I am required to do no such thing, I click "No". Then the dialogue boxes go away and stop bothering me, and I can get on with my day. (On closer inspection, it appears that what is *intended* to happen at this point is that the computer is shut down. Unfortunately the VB monkeys couldn't get it right. Does it mean that I'm not bound by the terms? If not, why bother with asking the question?) .robin. -- "That would be a glorious life, to addict oneself to perfection; to follow the curve of the sentence wherever it might lead," -- Bernard, _The Waves_
