Don't forget the problems of networking.  Networking always has speed of 
light and latency issues.  Darn.  Now where did I put my low-level warp 
field ;-)

OTOH, "Programming Jabber" has just landed on my desk, and looks quite 
interesting.  Since I know nothing about jabber (other than 'it's like 
instant messaging and soap and rpc and all that stuff') I look foward to 
finding a bit more out about all this stuff.

Someone kick me and remind me to write a review in a couple of weeks.
