I use Outlook 98, and it affects me differently -- I do not get shown
the signature at all, or even the fact that a message was signed (I'd
have to look at the message headers to see that). At least the way
Russell did it.

I have a PGP plugin but it can only sign messages in-line -- so that
everyone sees the signature line. I sent a couple of messages like
that to someone who advocated PGP and he said that it was a pain for
him since he had to convert it back into the form his email program
sent (or somethign like that).

Which makes me think that if there isn't one standardised way, then
PGP is unlikely to spread as quickly anyway. If people have to jump
through hoops to sign messages/read signed messages/verify
signatures, then a lot of people are going to be put off.

Cheers,
Philip
