So, I was speaking to Simon (lathos) last evening, and I spoke to him a bit about TPC, marketting and his retirement from development.
Anyway to cut to the chase, he is busy on the date of the next meeting but I have persuaded him to come for a few beers on the 27th of this month (March), which is this wednesday. This should be a good oppurtunity for us to hear about the reasons for his retirement from development and also maybe discuss some other "future of Perl" issues with him.
