I do hope the connection between trolls/troll-slashing and your post on this thread is not lost on you ;-). Personally I can't wait to see the film, I recently watched the extended (super limited edition) version of the first film and it was superb, It is the best transfer to hollywood/film of any major fantasy/sci-fi book I can think of (given about 15 seconds of thought). Anyway, You mentioned Scandinavian and troll in the same vincinity so to try and add some content to this mail ... Trolls seem very popular in Scandinavian mythos and even its art. Anyone who likes fantasy art[1] might like to search for scandinavian trolls on google images or similar. Strangely they became more and more friendly creatures over the history of Scandinavian mythology, they started off as Tolkien like (or rather Scandinavian mythology like) versions, huge grotesque evil creatures (that turned to stone in the sunlight) and then moved on to become more friendly and impish. Much like John Prescott apart from the friendly and impish bit. Greg [1] Thats fantasy art that doesnt involve an extra from bay watch, and a very small amount of leather and chainmail. -- Greg McCarroll http://www.mccarroll.org.uk/~gem/ jabber:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
