CPP Appeal for condemnation of American aggression!
Pakistan, now a day, is in deep waters politically. There is a lot of
military activity on its western border with Afghanistan. The present
predicament is the result of continued American subservience by
Pakistani civil and military establishment.

Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) has struggled hard, along with other
democratic forces, for ousting army from Pakistani politics and economy.
Military is well entrenched with its economic empire. It has, however,
suffered a setback due to last general elections held in February 2008.
Mass public pressure prevented military establishment from manipulating
elections results to a large extant.

Symbol of dictatorship General Musharraf was forced to resign from
president-ship. An elected civilian government is in power now. The
continuation of this process of transformation to civilian rule is in
the interest of left and democratic forces, despite all short comings of
ruling coalition political parties. The conspiracies, at local and
international level have, however, started to destabilize the civilian
setup.

American and its allied NATO Forces, stationed in Afghanistan, have been
violating Pakistani sovereignty for long by attacking suspected
militants hideouts with missiles. These attacks were owned by Pakistani
army, during government of General Musharraf, to bail out America.

The accelerated recent aerial and land attacks by America and its
threats to attack even Karachi and Islamabad are putting the elected
government in an awkward position. The Pakistani army may be thinking of
taking advantage of this situation. The recent statement of Chief of
Army Staff of Pakistan is indicative of this impulse. In his statement
he has tried to gain sympathies of people by sounding a warning to
America.

Condemnation of these violations of Pakistan's sovereignty by U.S.
America will provide a moral support to the anti-imperialist forces. You
are, therefore, requested to condemn this American aggression at all
possible levels and platforms.
