“A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on some teachings” is called a religion, and that makes the way of life. Therefore every religion is a way of life … Islam is a way of life as well.
Point here is that democracy and secularism are not recognized as religions so far. Therefore doesn’t make sense to compare them with a religion.
