I've used it for a few years without problem. These days, I tend to use 
gparted. At one point the graphical version was easier to use when 
resizing NTFS partitions, but I haven't checked lately if that's still 
true. I run a variety of distributions, so my systems can have a couple of 
dozen partitions over a couple of disks. I tend to lable the disks 
(e2label)
