Why? If everyone did that, the 101/102 objectives would be bloated 100x
over. Hell, I could bloat them "abut" 3-4x myself -- isn't that right
Matt? ;)

And I said LILO _should_ get a mention, if anything, for "identification
purposes." But the purpose of the 101/102 objects are not to make sure
we list everything a "junior administrator" may ever come across. That
would be quite impossible. ;)

If you are worried about certification programs "just teaching the
test," then you're worried with the wrong people. The most I'd say is
make things about "identification" and that at least gets a subsection
in a training manual. In the case of LILO, I honestly thing LPIC-1 is
at the "know of" level for junior admins now.

Everything else, as even someone else seemingly agreed, makes a "GRUB v.
LILO" discussion more 201/202.

Then it's L-0 by _your_ choice and labeling. Trust me, there are things
missing in several LPI objectives that I have conceded are just not

Obviously you were _not_. ;)

I was merely trying to explain simple, basic, elementary concepts that
you did not know. Because several of your arguments on GRUB are beyond
subjective, and heading into ... well ... I've said it several times
now.

And it wasn't even the end of your "lack of familiarity" with GRUB.

Which is why you are in _no_ position to argue _against_ GRUB. You may
be in a position to argue _for_ LILO, but not _against_ GRUB. Please,
please stop even mentioning GRUB. If it is written by yourself, and it
mentioned GRUB, we need not even read it. I honesty hope you take this
to heart, so you don't have your messages ignored by those of us who do
want to hear your input on LILO, or anything else as we may assume you
might be talking about something else you have no experience with.
