I think that we should put a link to the discussion page on the main
page, though. It's very easy to over look.
Especially with the news that I think just went out about this:
http://wiki.lpi.org/wiki/LPIC2AndLPIC3ChangeProposalVersion3To4
So, now there's absolutely no problem in talking about it. I was kind
of hoping that someone was watching all the page changes/creations on
the wiki and would have asked about over the last couple of weeks
but... :)
Basically, the proposal boils down to these major points:
- move more LDAP from 300 to LPIC-2 (ie. not just LDAP client in
LPIC-2 but some essential server parts)
- move Capacity Planning from 301 to LPIC-2 (and other related topics
which we may add)
- spread the troubleshooting section around into their respective
objectives (it's almost 1/3 of the 202 exam)
- merge the remaining 301 content with 302 (esp with Samba4)
- remove the requirement of 301 for the 303 (security) and 304
(HA/virt) certifications
Please give it a read and let the list know what you think of these
changes. And feel free to suggest more (or suggest removing) content
for the LPIC-2 and the proposal 300 exam.
Regards,
