There appears to be some "invention" with NT authentication with which Samba can't deal _automatically_. Either that, or Samba "stumbles" over some lprng configuration diffrences. Encountered similar pains after upgrading a site from SuSE 7.1 to 8.0 last week. When I tell Samba not to load printcap and explicitly declare the printers required for sharing, it seems to work without a hitch.
