For some reason, lpd stopped working on one of our servers. I have
shutdown lprng a few weeks ago to play with cups and now I want to go
back but it doesn't work. checkpc does not report any problems. When I
try to start lpd, the following lines are printed by syslogd:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# Aug 11 19:05:14 server lpd[10838]: lpd: main()
dofork failed - Resource temporarily unavailable
Aug 11 19:05:14 server lpd: 2004-08-11-19:05:14.710 server lpd: main()
dofork failed - Resource temporarily unavailable

The server seems to work just fine. No other applications are having
problems. It is running RedHat enterprise linux 3.0
