WG,
Its useful to have admin tag support for prefixes in OSPF.
I support the WG adoption.
I have below comments on the document.
1. I suggest to add subsections in the section 4 protocol operations to
separately address sender side and receiver side protocol operations
2. Sender side need to talk about below cases
* Same admin tag should not be encoded multiple times
* For each Prefix TLV, only one admin tag sub-TLV should be included
(I don't see the need to support multiple admin tag sub-TLV in same prefix TLV)
Receiver side
1. If same tag appears multiple times in the admin tag sub-TLV , the first
one MUST be considered and others ignored
2. If there are more than one admin tag sub-TLVs in the ospfv2/ospfv3
prefix TLV only first one MUST be processed and others ignored
3. When both admin tag sub-TLV and existing tag in OSPFv2 and OSPFv3
AS-External-LSA and NSSA-LSA are received, the route should consider a union of
all these tags.
1. Section 6 IANA
Change to
TBD - 32-bit Administrative Tag sub-TLV
1. Need to have some explicit statements on Route calculation.
Change in admin tag sub_TLV should at minimum trigger partial route calculation.
