Issue #301 has been updated by Clément Oudot.

Status changed from New to Assigned
Assigned to set to Clément Oudot
Target version set to openldap-check-password-1.2

Hi Hanxin,

I think there are two things to check:
* if your OpenLDAP modulepath is opt/openldap/libexec/openldap, the file
check_password.so must be in this directory, else it will never be loaded
* you did not include your ppolicy overlay configuration. To apply a password
policy to a user, either set the default ppolicy parameter in slapd.conf (man
slapo-ppolicy), or add a pwdPolicySubentry attribute to your user account

If check_password.so is loaded by OpenLDAP, you should see output in OpenLDAP
logfile

Bug #301: can't make check_password work
http://tools.lsc-project.org/issues/301

Author: Hanxin Wu
Status: Assigned
Priority: Normal
Assigned to: Clément Oudot
Category: OpenLDAP check password
Target version: openldap-check-password-1.2

I have openldap-2.4.21 installed in the latest Red Hat Linux VM. I was trying
to make check_password function work by following the instruction at
http://ltb-project.org/wiki/documentation/openldap-ppolicy-check-password. But
can never make it. If gurus here are willing to help, I would provide detailed
info.
Thanks in advance.
