Remember if all the traffic is between the workstations and the server,
i.e the workstations don't talk to each other (no local apps), then most
of the benefit of a switch is wasted in an LTSP environment because the
traffic performance limit will be the link between the server and the
switch/hub. Full duplex and 100Mb are the things to look for.

We used to reckon that the minimum practical network required to run X
to a remote terminal was 64K full duplex. Now an LTSP workstation
requires downloading it's kernel and NFS mounted file system so if you
said something like 500K / workstation you'd still get 20 workstations
on a 10Mb network.
