The 3c905c-TX-M has a 512kBit Flashrom onboard that can be programmed
by software. If you don�t need the 3COM Software you can program
Etherboot
to the card�s chip. Check out the "cromutil" and it�s docs from
Etherboot�s contrib directory. I flashed Etherboot 5.0.4 to one of our
cards. Booted at first try. Best of all: You don�t even need an eprom
programming device to do this.
