first of all you need to worry about the network coolision ... It's necessary for you to use switch's in an extended star topology because you'll have many ws.

I think that you can do it by two ways.

first: Five application servers working separately on differents subnets. you'll need one server using NFS to export /usr , /home and others that you my need to the others servers.

second: you can use 2 ltsp servers each one on a different subnet and 5 application servers. Then  you'll configure 5 groups of 40 ws using one application server as XDM server. you'll need one server using NFS to export /usr , /home and others that you my need to the others servers.
