Hi Bernard,
you've eventually got a trio64 card with non supported RAMDAC chip.
(Look at the Status file somewhere at xfree.org/doc.)
Try the XF86_S3 binary instead; should be included in your SuSE-distro.
Copy it to /opt/ltsp/i386/usr/X11R6/bin and follow the instructions
contained in the lts.conf.readme file.
