Fivda,

What you are describing is completely normal.

When the workstation boots up, it creates a ramdisk and
mounts it on the /tmp directory.  Then, it creates
those files that are missing, which causes the symlinks
to be correct.

As for the /dev directory, LTSP now uses devfs, which
automatically creates the device nodes as needed.  They
exist while the workstation is running and can only
be seen by the workstation.
